Appraisal Commissioner Steven J. McAdams Joins Hogan Companies

Larry Hogan, President and CEO of the Hogan Companies announced today that the company has continued its growth with the addition of Steven J. McAdams who has been named a Senior Associate with a focus on sales and marketing for the land and commercial brokerage team, and will assist with valuations, bank asset solutions and lender services.

Mr. McAdams brings more than 20 years of real estate knowledge and experience to the Hogan Companies.  He has been the founder, owner and president of Residential Appraisal Service since 1993 where he managed a team of 15 appraisers and completed more than 20,000 appraisals.

Mr. McAdams currently serves as a Commissioner on the Maryland Real Estate Appraisers and Home Inspectors Commission, having been appointed to 3 terms by both Governor Robert Ehrlich and Governor Martin O’Malley and confirmed by the Maryland State Senate.  He has served as Commission Chair on numerous hearing boards for license renewal and license revocation.  He was also charged with reviewing The Appraisal Foundation’s (TAF) guidelines to insure that the State of Maryland was in compliance with Federal guidelines.

Mr. McAdams began his real estate career in 1990 as a member of the Prince George’s County Board of Realtors where he was a Distinguished Sales Club Member, and was recognized in the top 1% of REMAX brokers in the nation.  He is a member of the Maryland Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Appraisers.
