Hogan Companies Names Sponseller Vice President, Commercial

Hogan Companies President and CEO Lawrence J. Hogan, Jr announced today that Mike Sponseller has been named as a Vice President of their commercial real estate division.

A member of the Sponseller Homes family in Frederick County, Maryland, he learned the basics of residential development. Later, he spent time in the commercial leasing field, working for CB Richard Ellis and Julien J. Studley. During that time, he represented landlords and tenants such as The Amstar Group, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Experian, the URS Corporation and many others.

At the Hogan Companies, Mr. Sponseller has worked representing buyers and sellers in the discovery and development of new projects throughout the state. He has placed specific emphasis on tracking trends, and how those trends are changing the direction of the land development industry.

He is a graduate of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, and recently received his Masters in Business Administration from the Graziadio School at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the MNCBIA State Government & Legislative Affairs Committee.

Mr. Sponseller will focus on the expansion of the Hogan Companies’ work on the transfer of existing assets in various product classes as well as developing relationships with institutional and private equity funds.
