Secretary Hogan Returns to Group of Companies 

Lawrence J. Hogan, Jr., President and CEO of the Hogan Companies headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, recently returned from serving four years as Secretary of Appointments in the administration of former Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.

The founder of the Hogan Companies in 1985, Mr. Hogan is also a principal in The Hogan Group, Homebuyer Solutions, Inc., Home Builder Solutions, LLC, Hogan Investments, Hogan Development, Hogan Holding Companies, Integrity Partners, LLC and Investors Development Group, Inc.

In addition to real estate and business, Mr. Hogan has been involved in government and politics. As a Cabinet Member for Maryland Governor Robert L. Erhlich, Jr., Secretary Hogan was responsible for the appointment of nearly seven thousand people to positions in Maryland's Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches including the appointment of the Cabinet, Judges, Legislators, Regulators, and Administrators throughout State Government.

Secretary Hogan's appointments were credited with making the Erhlich Administration the most bipartisan, most inclusive, and most diverse administration in Maryland history. As a member of the Governor's inner circle, Secretary Hogan played a major role in managing a $30 billion dollar a year, 60,000 employee enterprise.

Mr. Hogan has been in the real estate business since 1982 and has provided services for such entities as the American Red Cross, American University, the General Services Administration, the Resolution Trust Corporation and the Nature Conservatory as well as hundreds of national, regional and local developers, builders and investors.

The Hogan Companies are a full service real estate firm and are leaders in the commercial brokerage and land acquisition field in the Baltimore-Washington region and have been responsible for over $1 billion in real estate transactions.
